In Loving Memory ~

Iain (John) Adie Clemenson Hay passed away peacefully on March 10th surrounded by his family.

Iain was born in Glasgow Scotland on January 21st 1943. He is spent his formative years in Glasgow, where he developed a love of cycling.

Iain pursued a career as an electrician and spent many years in the Glasgow shipyards and on the oil rigs in the North Sea. He, his wife Brenda and son Iain emigrated to Canada in 1979 where they made their home in Port Alberni.

Iain brought his love of cycling with him and for many years was a well known and a respected competitor in the local racing scene accumulating many victories in the BC Masters race series.

Iain is predeceased by his father Alexander Hay and mother Elizabeth Hay.

He is survived by his older brother Alec Hay (Betty), his wife of 60 years Brenda Hay, his son Iain (Autumn) and his grandson Brodie (Jasmine).

The family would to thank all the staff at Ty Watson house for their kindness, compassion and support. They would also like to extend their deepest thanks for Dr. Woodley. Her care and compassion was a shining light in the darkest of times.

Lastly the family would like to thank friends and family for their kindness and support through this difficult time.

Iain's wishes were in lieu of a service and flowers, a donation could be made towards Ty Watson House.
