It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of a long time resident and member of the Port Alberni community, Sharon Hollinshead. She passed peacefully on April 27, 2024 at Ty Watson House after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born an only child to Lloyd and Marnie Davis and grew up on the Sunshine Coast, BC where her parents owned and operated a marina.
She relocated to Port Alberni 54 years ago where she raised her family of 2 boys and started her long career as a Real Estate agent with Block Bros / ReMax Realty. She was also a long time active member of Sorority and will be fondly remembered by all of the ladies that served with her.
Sharon will be greatly missed by her 2 sons Lee (Bren) of Okotoks, AB and Curtis (Celia) of Cumberland, BC as well as her 2 grandsons Robert McGee and Waylon and 2 great granddaughters Gwendolyn Lowe and Odette Lowe.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Marnie Davis, her first husband Ken Hollinshead, and her long time partner Bill Jones.
We extend our sincerest thanks to Dr Muehlenberg, Dr Bernstein, the staff at West Coast General Hospital, and all of the wonderful and caring volunteers at Ty Watson House.
Cremation will take place, no service by request.
